Q-LAN complies with the
MoCA™ (Multimedia over Coax
Alliance
) standard, an industry driven standard promoting distribution
of digital video and entertainment through existing coaxial
cables.
The Multimedia over Coax Alliance
(MOCA), was formed to provide the solutions for networking digital entertainment. The mission of the alliance is to develop industry specifications and interoperability certification for delivering high bandwidth digital content over coaxial cables. MOCA is specified for digital entertainment content, which will be running multiple streams of HDTV, multi-player gaming and Internet over coax using MOCA Technology. MOCA is developing specifications for the transport of digital entertainment and information content over coaxial cable.
